Meegevoel

Hy was 'n bekende man in Duitsland en as die 307ste rykste man op Forbes se lys van "Riches people in the world" vernoem.

Stefan Schörghuber died suddenly and unexpectedly in the night of November 24-25, 2008.

Munich, November 25, 2008. Stefan Schörghuber, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Schörghuber Corporate Group, died suddenly and unexpectedly in the night of November 24-25, 2008 in his house in Munich. He was only 47 years old.

Stefan Schörghuber had managed the group from 1995 to the present day in the capacity of sole shareholder and Chairman of the Executive Board. At the age of 34, he had taken over the management of the company from his father, its founder Josef Schörghuber. During his time at the helm, he rearranged the activities of the corporate group into a clear organizational structure, prepared it for the challenges of the future through international partnerships in the hotel and beverages sector and created essential impulses for growth with countless path-breaking projects.

In a statement given to the 6,300 employees of the corporate group this morning, Head of Financial Affairs Hans-Peter Hoh said: "His death is an overwhelming loss for each and every one of us and for our corporate group as a whole. In Stefan Schörghuber, we have lost an exceptionally responsible person, a far-sighted and visionary entrepreneur who guided the fortunes of his company with a great sense of duty. In this dark hour, our deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Schörghuber and her children."
